As the Senior Education Specialist for the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering impactful learning experiences for interventional cardiologists and heart-care teams worldwide.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Education, you’ll collaborate with members, subject matter experts, vendors, and SCAI leadership to plan and execute high-quality virtual and in-person educational programs. Your portfolio will include producing 12 annual in-person SCAI First events, delivering 1-2 monthly webinars, and transforming event content into engaging online courses. You’ll also analyze feedback and performance data to continuously enhance programming, all while managing multiple priorities with precision, professionalism, and a focus on exceptional service.

How You’ll Make an Impact
Your work will support the continuing education of thousands of interventional cardiology professionals each year, helping them address real-world challenges and embrace advancements to improve patient care. You’ll keep our programs cutting-edge and ensure the enduring impact of our education resources. Key responsibilities include:
- Live Webinar Production. Manage all aspects of live webinars, including Education Committee approval, faculty coordination, learning management system (LMS) setup, marketing coordination, writing copy and educational objectives, producing live webinars, and using that content to create enduring learning experiences for our Online Learning Center.
- SCAI First Event Planning and Production. Oversee all facets of SCAI First events, including logistics, development of support materials (e.g., PowerPoint presentations and written documents), and on-site execution. These regional programs enable participants to present complex cases, engage with experienced faculty, and enhance clinical decision-making skills. Responsibilities encompass venue selection, catering coordination, registration setup, marketing collaboration, on-site management during events, and post-event evaluation to gather feedback and implement continuous program improvements.
- Content Management and Publishing. Manage the production of multimedia materials for the SCAI LMS and other third-party distribution platforms. This includes light video editing, testing, monitoring, preparing reports, and collaborating with colleagues across departments to ensure high-quality content.
- LMS Operations. Create courses in the LMS, categorize content, and optimize the platform to ensure a good experience for learners. Serve as the first point of contact for staff and the primary liaison to the LMS vendor, OASIS.
- Surveys and Evaluations. Build and implement surveys related to the education department to determine SCAI’s success in meeting its program objectives. This includes testing, distribution, version control, formatting, and creating reports.
- CoProvidership Programs. Coordinate approval process and payment through appropriate staff and Education Committee for submitted coprovidership programs.
- Education Customer Service. Assist members in the Speaker Ready Room at SCAI Flagship meeting and other meeting duties as assigned. Answer telephone and email inquiries related to SCAI’s educational offerings.
- ACCME Compliance. Follow SCAI CME procedures; collect and maintain essential paperwork for ACCME accreditation; create evaluations and certificate templates for educational activities.
Work Environment, Salary, and Benefits
- This is a fully remote position with a flexible schedule and occasional evening or weekend hours. Travel is required for events and staff retreats.

Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience producing online education programs and small-scale (under 100 people) meetings, ideally within a nonprofit or association setting.
- Experience collaborating with medical professionals and an understanding of ACCME regulations are highly desirable but not required.
- Professional experience working with content/learning management systems.
- Experience overseeing records management is preferred.
