As Communications Coordinator for the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS), you will play a pivotal role in supporting both communications and event logistics. Reporting to the Marketing/Communications Director, you’ll oversee the scheduling and distribution of email blasts, manage updates to the ABFAS website, provide editorial support for print and digital collateral, and develop and coordinate content for our social media platforms. You will also handle logistics for ABFAS’s presence at national and regional events, including booth setup and promotional materials, managing details for off-site board and committee meetings (6 annually), and working with partners at the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Podiatric Medical Students Association to coordinate college visits. This role will require close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure that all communications are accurate, consistent, timely, and on-brand.
ABFAS elevates the podiatric profession through rigorous board certification, ongoing education initiatives like the LEAD program, and comprehensive case reviews conducted by our nation’s most elite podiatric surgeons. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams, contributing to initiatives that directly impact the quality of podiatric care provided to patients across the country.
At ABFAS, we are committed to supporting your professional growth. In addition to mentoring and support from our staff, you will have access to LinkedIn Learning and be encouraged to attend professional development opportunities.
